Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How do I know if my pressure regulator has failed?

The tell is usually noise and short part life rather than an outright leak. When pressure climbs, fill valves and washer hoses go first. A gauge on an outside spigot answers the question quickly, and it is worth checking on any older house that has never had the regulator touched. The same applies in Richland.

Do I need to do anything with the outside spigots before winter?

Shut off the interior valve that feeds the hose bib and drain the line, and leave the hose off the tap. A hose left connected traps water in the bib, which is where the split usually happens. If you cannot find an interior shutoff for that line, a plumber can tell you whether the bib is a frost-free type. It reads the same for houses in Vicksburg.

Is well water treated differently from city water here?

Yes, because the pump and pressure tank become your responsibility instead of a utility's. A pump that short-cycles usually means the tank has lost its air charge, and well water often carries more mineral than a municipal line. Say which one you are on when you call. The same holds for the older housing around Parchment.

Does my homeowners insurance cover a water leak?

That depends entirely on your policy, and your insurance provider is the only one who can answer it. What helps in every case is documentation: pictures of the damage, the date you found it, and the plumber's description of the failure. That answer does not change between here and Galesburg.
