Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How do I know if my pressure regulator has failed?

Noisy pipes and parts that fail early are the giveaway, not a puddle. Once the regulator stops holding, everything downstream lives at street pressure. A gauge screwed onto a hose bib settles it in a minute. Callers from Marion hit the same question.

Why has my water pressure dropped over the years?

In an older house the two usual causes are scale narrowing the pipe and a regulator that is no longer holding the right setting. Galvanised supply lines close up from the inside, so the loss is gradual and easy to get used to. A plumber can tell the two apart with a gauge and a look at the pipe material. That holds in Fife Lake as well.

Why does my water leave white crust on the faucets?

Dissolved minerals coming out of solution at the fixture. It scrapes off the aerator easily, but the same material is settling inside the water heater where you cannot see it. Slower hot water alongside the crust points at the tank. Homes in Manton sit on the same water.

Does my homeowners insurance cover a water leak?

That depends entirely on your policy, and your insurance provider is the only one who can answer it. What helps in every case is documentation: pictures of the damage, the date you found it, and the plumber's description of the failure. Age of the house matters more than which side of McBain you are on.
