Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Who owns the sewer line between my house and the street?

You do, in most cases: the lateral from the foundation out to the connection at the city main is the property owner's to repair, while the main itself is not. A camera log with footage marks tells you where the trouble sits before anyone opens the ground.

The basement floor drain burps when the washer empties. What causes that?

Air, usually. A partly blocked vent forces the drain to pull air back through the trap instead of the roof, and a washer dumping fast is the load that exposes it. The same symptom shows up in older Warren and Fraser homes with original stacks.

Is a cast iron stack worth replacing before it leaks?

It depends on what a camera shows inside it. Heavy scale and pitting near the base is the usual reason people replace a run rather than patch it, and doing it while the wall is already open costs less disruption than doing it twice.

Does my homeowners policy pay for a collapsed lateral?

That depends entirely on your policy and any sewer endorsement attached to it, so contact your insurance provider before work starts. Keeping the camera footage and the plumber's written findings makes the conversation shorter.
