Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How do I find my main water shutoff before a repair?

Look where the service enters the basement, usually on the wall facing the street, with the meter just past the valve. Finding it on a calm day is far easier than finding it while water is running across a floor.

Can roots be treated chemically instead of dug out?

Foaming root treatments can slow regrowth after a mechanical cleaning, but they do nothing about the crack that let the roots in. Plumbers treat them as maintenance between inspections, not as a repair.

Why does my sewer smell strongest in the basement?

Because that is where the drain system is closest to open, at the floor drain and the cleanout. A dry floor drain trap is the ordinary cause; a broken lateral is the one worth ruling out with a camera.

Does mature landscaping near Pontiac and Lake Orion actually raise the risk?

Big trees near the drain line raise it, no matter the address. Species with aggressive shallow roots planted directly over a clay lateral are the pattern behind most recurring backups on older lots.
